Kdy\u017e se Martin probudil v nemocni\u010dn\u00edm pokoji, nejprve nev\u011bd\u011bl, kde je. Bylo to, jako by byl uv\u011bzn\u011bn\u00fd ve vlastn\u00edm t\u011ble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201ePane Novotn\u00fd, stalo se v\u00e1m v\u00e1\u017en\u00e9 zran\u011bn\u00ed p\u00e1te\u0159e p\u0159i autonehod\u011b. Poranil jste si m\u00edchu a\u2026\u201c L\u00e9ka\u0159 se odml\u010del. \u201e\u2026je nepravd\u011bpodobn\u00e9, \u017ee byste znovu chodil.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dny se t\u00e1hly. Rehabilita\u010dn\u00ed sestry se sna\u017eily, motivovaly ho, ale Martin byl duchem nep\u0159\u00edtomn\u00fd. V\u0161echny pokusy zvednout ruku, pohnout prstem, skon\u010dily ne\u00fasp\u011bchem. \u010casem p\u0159estal zkou\u0161et.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ale v jeho \u017eivot\u011b byl n\u011bkdo, kdo se nevzdal \u2013 jeho pes Max.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Max byl t\u0159\u00edlet\u00fd zlat\u00fd retr\u00edvr, kter\u00e9ho Martin adoptoval z \u00fatulku kr\u00e1tce po rozvodu. Pes mu tehdy pomohl p\u0159ekonat nejtemn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed obdob\u00ed. A te\u010f to vypadalo, \u017ee mu op\u011bt zachr\u00e1n\u00ed \u017eivot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ka\u017ed\u00fd den Max sed\u011bl u nemocni\u010dn\u00ed postele. Pohledem sledoval ka\u017ed\u00e9 Martinovo nadechnut\u00ed, ka\u017ed\u00e9 mrknut\u00ed. Kdykoli zdravotn\u00ed sestra zvedla Martinovu ruku, aby ho prot\u00e1hla, Max polo\u017eil packu na jeho dla\u0148 a ti\u0161e zavrn\u011bl, jako by \u0159\u00edkal: Zkus to je\u0161t\u011b jednou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bylo to slab\u00e9, t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 nepost\u0159ehnuteln\u00e9, ale bylo to tam. Jeho o\u010di se zalily slzami. Pokusil se soust\u0159edit, zat\u00edmco Max neodtrhl pohled od jeho ruky. Pak se stalo n\u011bco, co ohromilo i p\u0159\u00edtomnou sestru \u2013 Martin\u016fv ukazov\u00e1\u010dek se pohnul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Max vesele za\u0161t\u011bkal, jako by p\u0159esn\u011b ch\u00e1pal, co se stalo. Od toho dne se rehabilitace zm\u011bnila. Martin se znovu pokou\u0161el o pohyb a poka\u017ed\u00e9, kdy\u017e cht\u011bl vzd\u00e1t, Max mu str\u010dil \u010dum\u00e1k do ruky nebo na n\u011bj up\u0159en\u011b hled\u011bl sv\u00fdma hn\u011bd\u00fdma o\u010dima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

T\u00fddny se prom\u011bnily v m\u011bs\u00edce. Martin dok\u00e1zal zvednout ruku, sev\u0159\u00edt p\u011bst, pohnout nohama. L\u00e9ka\u0159i, kte\u0159\u00ed mu p\u016fvodn\u011b ned\u00e1vali \u017e\u00e1dnou \u0161anci, nech\u00e1pali, jak je to mo\u017en\u00e9. Jeden z nich p\u0159iznal:

A pak p\u0159i\u0161el den, kdy Martin poprv\u00e9 vstal z invalidn\u00edho voz\u00edku. Bylo to jen p\u00e1r sekund, ale c\u00edtil se jako v\u00edt\u011bz. Max st\u00e1l vedle n\u011bj, ocasem radostn\u011b vrt\u011bl a slzy se leskly v jeho o\u010d\u00edch stejn\u011b jako v Martinov\u00fdch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

P\u0159\u00edb\u011bh o mu\u017ei, kter\u00fd se postavil na nohy d\u00edky v\u011brnosti sv\u00e9ho psa, oblet\u011bl soci\u00e1ln\u00ed s\u00edt\u011b. Lid\u00e9 z cel\u00e9ho sv\u011bta psali do nemocnice, pos\u00edlali d\u00e1rky pro Maxe a d\u011bkovali za inspiraci.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Martin dnes chod\u00ed bez opory. A Max? Ten je jeho st\u00ednem, jeho and\u011blem str\u00e1\u017en\u00fdm. Martin \u0159\u00edk\u00e1, \u017ee bez n\u011bj by to nikdy nedok\u00e1zal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
